“So you and I? We’ve got to shape up. we’ve got to stop messing around with the foolish lines we’ve drawn around ourselves, identifying who has more rocks in their soil, and get about the work of building the Kindom of God on earth – do all children of God have healthy food? Are all people safe in this world? Are all treated with respect, do all have access to health care, are all honored not for their skin color or job or gender or education or sexual orientation or skill set or language or birth certificate or who they love or how they love or if they love – are all honored because all are created in the image of God – are all honored just because we believe in the honor of all people?”

What if all people — all of us — are potential sites for God’s garden to grow? What if there is no good soil or bad soil, what if, like Lupine, God’s love can grow anywhere?
